DO YOU HAVE A B&B OR ANTIQUE STYLE HOME to furnish? Authentic xxxx's era hardwood bed. FROM THE BLODGETT HISTORICAL MUSEUM in Downers Grove, IL.
Good condition, ready to be set up at your B&B, cottage, etc. and used. Includes nice used thick, firm mattress, 5 years old, (5'2" by 6'1"). As you can see from the photos, has traditional bolt-together construction. Note the birds-eye detail of the EXOTIC wood.
Hardwood has not been cleaned, stained, varnished, etc. to keep original patina. Is in used condition, with some scrapes and scratches. Comes from the home of a significant mid-20th century industrialist, (founder of GM - Electromotive) from his home in Downers Grove, IL (now the Blodgett Historical Museum). Piece collected by his wife, who acquired antique furnishings. I do not have any information on who is mfg'er. Note that the numbers "360" appear on inside of bedposts. Also initials or brand is struck into a bedpost.
You can find antique beds but they are often fragile, or wobbily, or you can't find a mattress that fits. However, I am offering a gorgeous authentic xxxx's era hardwood bed that IS solid, USABLE today, with a comfortable firm mattress, too.
WILL disassemble and load into your truck bed or trailer. Bed breaks down nicely into parts. $1,580, cashiers check, postal MO's, cash or commercial company check. Would consider delivery (can discuss).
